I realy do like this one XD
Finallyyy ^^ picture of my Alice siren Dress Madness REturn cosplay!!! ^^ The photos are all made by a dearest friend, Droo photographer (www.facebook.com/DrooPhotography?fref=ts ). I Edit myself some of the pictures to add light effect that were not visible under photograph light... like the Vorpal blade and other kind of modif I did with light to make spooky look XD
On this on, I'm with my friend who's the Fleshmaiden at the right... I'm the siren at left.
SO... this costume took me 4 month to make.
I use a butterick pattern to make the under corset that hold around 220-250 scale I had cut and spray paint. I desing the double layer apron so it always has that cool look and never move in a cheap position (lol). The skirt is a 5/8 circle skirt and the sleeve are from an old wedding dress pattern I found in my mother stuff XD... so it's old desing. The white line-circle-ish on the sleeve and skirt are ALL light up with a cascading light under the soft plastic sew at each sewing line.I post a gift of it to show the movement of the light : niennasurion.deviantart.com/ar…
under the skirt, there is a party of pink petticoat XD I have too mush fun to sew layers and layers of crinoline and light fabric XD so I make it all fluffy so the skirt always stay pouffy XD.
the necklass in made of fabric and circle wood that I gesso, sand and paint with my shinnier silver paint ^^
the VORPAL... already post a picture of it since it was the first thing I finish on this costume.
it's a plastic sandwish XD lol... plexiglass double cover with PETG and soft plastic. There is a hole in the plexiglass to had the light and the PEGT do not have that hole so when it's stick on the plexi it make a perfect spot to put on light in. the soft plastic is the one use to put the crasy leaf-flower pattern on it..I cut it all with an exacto.
The handler is PETF in circle and end by and... easter eggs XD lol.. so the batteries are in the handler. Detail work on handler are relief cern.
The breastplate are plastic shell I made with the same technic I just for my diva costume... that I call Termoformation... without vacuum... I sculpe pieces in clay, put it in oven and let the PETG sit on it... and after heat gun it to get detail work... I paint it inside ...
I made 2 vorpal... mine and a red one for my firend .
Every electric part, I made all the solder myself... change electric 110 V wall plug for batteries packs and ajust every wire to the right length
the back piece (we cant see on the picture now) took all the 4 month itself because I use a REAL fish head. My dress is from a madness creepy world and the siren have nothing more than the back skull as creepy factor.. so I decided to make it REALY CREEPS out of it :3 ... so I got the biggest, strongest, mightiest fish I could get, with a head that have good proportional size as the game: A lake trout... it was about 20 lbs fish that died of a natural cause. All the 4 month I clean it.. let it dry... dry dry DRY.. and it became mummified. With hot and cold temperature... .. well ... after, I stuck in into resin so it become strong. After paint and add it on a cool PVC foam fin like I made and stuck cracked real shell, and paint everything shinny.
The end of the tail also have a stroboscope red-green-blue light in it ^^
o_O I think I have tell it all
I wear it first time a Katsucon 2015 and with my friend we won a juges award from Fire Lily (I hope I get the right tag XD LOL i have a so poor memory for faces! but I this it's you :3)
well THANK YOU
I hope you'll like my costume !
I'll propably make improvement for Otakuthon 2015... like add scales one the skirt and maybe switch all soft scale of the coret fore the PETG one that keep a better shape after storage of the corset in a package lol....... also a stronger holder for the apron ( it's good... but when I move too mush It unhook and fall sometime ><)...
oh... AND OTHER SHOES... these one are a bit too tiny.. I did not realise it when I bought it...
that’s it ^^ enjoy !
